Since we’ve been here a few times and loved it each time, we won’t do a written review. The video review is below and we also cover towards the end, what you can expect in this upcoming year! To view out previous reviews of Goji, click here.
The Libertine Bar (Dallas)
A few of us have gone to the Libertine Bar individually so it was only a matter of time before we payed them a visit as a group. While they may have less vegan options then most places we visit, what they do have is very delectable! This combined with good customer service and setting make for a very favorable experience.
Food: Everyone enjoy the dish they got. It was universal state that it was somewhat about average. The only negative that was mentioned is the Setain tacos had a little too much sauce on them. With that feedback in mind, you may want to consider telling them to bring the sauce separately so that you can control how much you out in your taco.
Atmosphere: It is a bar so it had plenty of people and music in the background. With that being said, it was louder then other places so if you don’t like loud environments, you may need to take that into consideration. Also note that we visited them on a Saturday night so you can imagine how busy and loud they will be versus going up in the day where it’s quieter.
Customer Service: Out of all the restaurants we’ve been too, they definitely have one of the best. They we very attentive to us and our food came out VERY fast. All problems with customer service stem from these 2 things and since they had the both nailed, there isn’t any real complaint!
Price: Decent
We had a great experience with Libertine and this makes them a good contender to pay another visit too in the future!
Blatt Beer Review (Closed)

We’ve known about Blatt Beer for quite some time. It was only a matter of time before we paid them a visit. While there were things we liked about our experience, there were a few draw backs that impacted the overall experience.
Food: The food ranged from good to decent. The biggest complaint was that the root burger had trouble maintaining its form as we were munching on them. In some cases, it would fall apart as you were half way threw. It should also be mentioned here that they only have 2 vegan options which does leave an impact here. We mostly agreed that the currywurst is the better amount the 2 especially if you’re a spice person.
Atmosphere: With it being a bar, it has a bar feel to it. The most noticeable things were it was very clean. The aside, it’s a bar setting. Nothing more, nothing less.
Customer Service: Unfortunately this is the area where they suffered the most. While nothing rude happen with customer service, out waiter simply was not familiar with the vegan options of the restaurant. Some of us were going to try out the currywurst but when questions were asked about it such such as would it have a vegan hotdog in it, he didn’t know and made a guess saying that it wouldn’t. Since that would be the difference between it being a entree or an appetizer, most of us got the root burger. We only found out later that it did have the hotdog, which irritated some of us. Servers need to know the menu of the establishment they work in and if they don’t have an answer, they need to go get one. More details about this incident are in the video review below.
This sure wasn’t the worst experience we’ve had but wasn’t the best either. The food and atmosphere were decent to good but the customer service experience holds them back from being one to remember.
Da Munchies Review (Dallas)
Category: Vegan Friendly
Overall Rating: 8.8
Da Munchies Website: https://www.damunchiesusa.com/
After having Da Munchies for a few months, we decided to pay them a visit no puns intended. Roomers have been circulating all over the vegan community in the DFW about this awesome restaurant with fun and tasty vegan options. It was only a matter of time before we paid them a visit. I'm glad to say that they didn't fail to deliver. We greatly enjoyed ourselves at Da munchies and while you can probably already tell that by now, the details below will make that even more apparent!
Food: The food's theme is more less vegan junk food as they call. It lives up to its name. The menu consist of stuff you would find yourself having munchies for. The menu is very creative and tasty. What we all found to be eccentric and refreshing is the menu is so many meat replacements that fit the munchies stereotype without using soy or setian. They are made from things such as Califlower, Plantains and jack fruit just to name a few. This makes their many VERY accommodating to anyone that has wheat or soy allergies. This is all accomplished without the quality of food being dropped. This makes this resturant unique in its own way and is a much needed change of pace from a food perspective.
Atmosphere: The experience felt very lounge like. They had comfortable seating via a sofa and chairs. This was accompanied with music in the background ranging from upbeat to more slow tone. The music was loud enough to set a relaxing mood but low enough so that we could still hear each other talk. Overall the atmosphere was great! the only negative at this time is seating is somewhat limited inside. While we didn't directly encounter this, if a lot of people happen to come in at once and want to eat inside, it could potential be a seating issue. As they expand, hopefully this issue will eventually go away.
Customer Service: They were very accommodating to us both in setting us coming and when we got there. We were given attention to make sure we were ok on a frequent basis. Not much more can be said other then we felt very welcomed and if there's a text book definition of customer service, i would say that's it!
Our experience with the munchies was very favorable. The menu offer something new and refreshing to the Vegan community, serving it in a very laid back environment with great service. We'll definitely have to pay them another visit!
V Eats Modern Vegan Review ( Closed)

Overall Rating 7.1

This was definitely a change from the 1st time we paid them a visit when they 1st opened (You can see that review here. The menu has expanded since we pay them a visit last. More options make for a more diverse dining experience which is always good. This time around they had a very noticeable problem when it came to customer service though. In many ways, the dining experience take a step forward while the customer service takes a few steps back.
Food: We enjoyed the food. The menu had more options and then before and most of us had nothing but good things to say about our food. It should be mentioned that some items from the line menu we not present at the restaurant menu. They have a variety of different types of dishes. Some of the dishes are literally hybrids of different types of dishes which makes for a creative and unique menu of choices that we rarely see anywhere else. What we liked most how they nailed the textured of meat and dairy products. The vegan butters used tasted almost identical to the real thing and most of their entree give you the option to choice your meat substitute. You can pick Soy, Setian or in some cases black beans. This is more of a nitpick but it is worth mentioning. Eventually it would be nice to have more desserts to pick from. That side, the food was solid!
Atmosphere: This is literally a copy and paste from the 1st time we came here. Given the location of the restaurant being across from the Trinity bridge, it was a very nice view. They have a patio which is where we sat. Music was also featured in the background. There was a good variety but for the most part, all the tracks played were mostly laid back. You can hear it both inside and on the patio but it is louder inside. It wasn’t to the point where we couldn’t hear each other talk which is always a plus. The lighting of the area and music played made for an overall nice atmosphere. It gives off a very champagne life feel overall.
Customer Service: This is the area that has severally dropped in quality since our last visit. It started with the fact that they no longer do reservation in advance so we had to make it upon arrivial. It took a very long time (45 minutes to and hour) from the time we ordered our food until it came out too us. It also took around 20 minutes just to get us our beverages and most of the time we needed our waitress, one of us had to get her attention as opposed to her checking on us regularly. The biggest problem by far is apparently if you have a party bigger then 6 people, they will combine all the checks and expect a massive payment. In other words, they won’t separate the checks. Once it was made clear that it wasn’t going to happen, they separated the checks based on what was ordered on the menu but that kind of setup is impractical in the 1st place. This is probably the biggest contributor to the low score in this area. We came to the conclusion that they may be short staffed so hopefully as more staff is hired, a lot of these problems can be a thing of the past.
Overall the food was very good and better then before. The atmosphere was great as always but they really dropped the ball in the customer service. All the factors about led to a very low average score for the customer service being 4.6. That brought the overall score down quite a bit. Hopefully it’s only temporary.
