Pizza Lounge (Closed)

Looks like we all enjoyed ourselves at the pizza lounge. They had a large variety of pizzas with traditional pizza toppings are vegan-friendly choices including vegan mozzarella, vegan chipotle monterrey jack blend, vegan Mexican chipotle sausage, soyrizo, and tofurky. The dough is vegan suitable and enjoyable.

Customer Service: They were very consistent in checking on us and making sure our beverages were regularly filled. We also found that they were very accommodating in our needs as a vegan group including pointing out which items on the menu were vegan and bringing us vegan additional toppings and cheese.

Atmosphere: We loved the theme that was set here. It had a very laid back environment with music in the background ranging from jazz to upbeat. The music was loud enough to set the tone but quiet enough so we could still hear each other talk, making a great balance between the 2. It was also very comfortable as the seating was a combination of couches and chairs, giving it more of a lounge setting then a restaurant.

Overall: Most of us really liked the laid back atmosphere. We agreed that it is definitely worth endorsing and paying a 2nd visit!

Food: They offer a very good variety of foods popular in many main stream restaurants. We all tried the appetizer “Chip & Dip party” with cashew cheese, olives, corn, beans, Quinoa and chips. A few of us also got ice cream with a brownie which we all agreed was very tasty. The thing we found the most unique was the mix of available options both in appetizers, entrees and desserts. Everyone enjoyed the dish that they got (Pictures of them below)

Customer service: They were very accommodating and the gap between when we ordered and when we got our food was not long at all. Our tables received a lot of attention from the servers, making sure we had everything we needed/wanted. Spirals also made it very convenient and easy for us to make our reservation. As soon as we arrived, tables and seats were already made for us.

Atmosphere: It resembled a diner like environment but with a few added features. The small vegan grocery store they had setup was full of vegan items you can find in health food stores. That was a huge plus. It gave us the options to pick something up there on the way out instead of stopping by the store. It was also a good balance between quiet and background music, giving us the ability to hear each other talk and enjoy the music at the same time.

Overall: Everyone enjoyed the dish that they got. Customer service was very accommodating and the atmosphere was new and refreshing. Since a number of us weren’t able to make it to Spiral this time, I mentioned if enough of us that did make it enjoyed it, we would come back. Everyone gave it a thumbs up would love to go back so it looks like we will be paying them another visit!

Feedback: Overall mixed. Around 40% of us loved it, another 40% said it was a little above average, and 20 % said it could use a little improvement.
Rating (food): 7.8. This is the average of all our answer put together. (On a scale of 1 to 10). If you want to comment about your side specifically, please do. Everyone who order desert loved it.

Customer service: It is taken into consideration that it’s a family owned restaurant that is still growing. With that being said, the servicing in terms of them being friendly and nice was good but it seems they have trouble accommodating large groups of people in the later part of the day.

Overall (Conclusion): I’ve spoken to those who said theirs could have used a little improvement. They said that other things on the menu intrigued them and their open to trying those. I was also told that that the grading scale was in comparison to other their meat counterparts (An example would be the veggie burger compared to Whataburger). In most cases, the meat used in those scenarios are fried in oils. In these cases, then veggie meat is often prepared without frying. This causes the taste to be a little different. As long as we go into the experience knowing that it will be different, that could make a difference in the rating in the future. As far as customer service goes, I’ve been there at different times of the day and seen how they are when they aren’t too busy, average and very busy. Watching how long it took others to get their meal as well as mine took around 15 to 20 minutes from the time the order is place until its brought to you. I would say the next time the veggie outers pay them a visit, it should be during a slow or average time for them or we can all place our orders ahead of time.
